1)  The Colour Wheel - http://www.colormatters.com/color-and-design/basic-color-theory
All colours can be made from just three. Blue, Red and Yellow - for instance if you mix Blue and Red you get Purple, Red and Yellow make orange etc. Blue Red and Yellow are called primaries. Purple, Green and Orange are called Secondaries and Tertiaries are  combinations of two of these

2) RGB v CYMK


RGB - Red Green and Blue relates to the colours that are mixed by an imaging device (TV screen, Monitor, Digital Camera) to produce an image
CYMK- Cyan (Blue) Magenta (Red) Yellow and Black refers to the colours that a printer's inks
