Trying to work out how to offset a frame. I find I have to work these things out for myself. This one is centred but the principles the same. At the moment I think the only way to join both parts of the frame is to leave them as flat colour with no high lights.

I was thinking last night before going to sleep...
that you could put both the layers of shapes, without the pattern, of this red frame into a folder and save it in Layer Presets.
The highlights would remain.
You could then have it at hand to be modified as desired.
