Stranded

I spotted it when I went out for my afternoon walk.  The tide had receeded and it was just lying there on the beach, tangled up in some nets.

Seemingly alive, various orifices would open sporadically then close with a plop and recede in to the gelatinous form. Embedded in its mass were hard blue glittery parts in a spiral like formation. - It stunk!!

Curious - I got down on my knees and studied it.  The sapphire blue glittery parts seemed to shrink and expand hypnotically.

They were eyes! - Eyes that seemed to plead - "Help me!", they said. 

I bent closer and was drawn in deeper. In to cavernous spaces of shapes and stars that ever expanded onwards and inwards. -

Their were worlds in those eyes!!
