Deviation Actions
On a daily basis, we at aim to showcase a small selection of fractal artwork to the community. We are proud to bring you today's Daily Fractal Feature! You can show your support by ing this article and do drop by the galleries of the featured artists and show them some love
Spotted this one a while ago and thought "Now if I only had the opportunity to do a DFF feature this would be top of my list".
Moravid lives in Australia and is trying to save the Scottish Wildcat. A girl after my own heart. A splendid composition with lots of little gnarly twists and turns. Plenty to retain your interest here.
I have no idea what program this was created in. So my German friend, if you see this, would you please enlighten me. The blue spiral on the black background is quite hypnotic. Elegant without being overworked.
Here we have an original use of difs and colour map in MB3D, in which the colours have been kept to the basic black and white to compliment the text(ural) overlay.
Wonder what language that is. They are all Greek to me!
A delightful, off centre spiral with a sharply delineated and textured background created in Ultra Fractal. Default gradient colouring that works really well with the merge modes used.
For more information, including how to suggest a deviation to be featured, please visit us at DailyFractalFeatures.
There is an ongoing donation pool for & to become SuperGroups over on 's page!DailyFractalFeatures

Jean Luc works in a variety of software but his favourite is Ultra Fractal. He hails from France and doesn't answer any comments. All this I forgive him when I see beautiful pieces like this. It's a julia taken from, I would guess, the far left of the Mandelbrot set where the mini's get smaller and smaller. An area not much explored by UF enthusiasts, but one which can reward you with spectacular results like this.Bush Flowers by

For Manipulation Challenge 5 we are going to try making tributes to the works of Eva Kmento - :iconXantipa2: who as you all know passed away a couple of months ago. Here are just a few from her wonderful gallery.
You can take your inspiration from any of her works. Use your own pieces as a base or look for free stock images (their are loads on D.A.)

Manipulation Challenge 3
For our 3rd Manipulation Challenge I thought you might like to work with the tutorials of a master manipulator ~rockgem (https://www.deviantart.com/rockgem) Gem has produced several tutorials on this subject and you can use any or all of them.
I picked this one because it has a minimum of shapes and eyes can of course be made as intricately as you like in UF. MB3D Photoshop, PSP etc. But, as stated above you can use any of her tutorials though the fractal content must be your own. The background can be a fractal scene or a free graphic but please give credit to the creator in your details if it isn't your own. You may also, of course, use

It only remains for us to wish you all a wherever you are in the world
Decisions, Decisions
Rather than upload many versions of a fractal I thought I'd compose a journal.
These are the varieties of tweaks I made from the one set of pong parameters:-
The two above used new gradients made in MB3D and saved for future use.
Colour mapped and colour maps overlaying each other.
Mapped on output vector with low Rotation Bailout.
Formula added in first slot
Formula added in first slot, mapped on output vector with low Rotation Bailout and simple gradiated colour map made in Ultra Fractal.
Final Image chosen for pong chain. Parameters included.
Tips n Tricks: Using outside and inside colouring is rarely needed and slows the render
